But nobody (in large numbers) is going to fork out $1000/ €1000 for a 3DTV and even more on extra sets of (expensive) specs, and even more on extra specs when the kids lose and break theirs, just so the family can sit and watch everyday tv. It's <em>tiring</em> wearing these things and everything is dark. What happens when someone gets up to make a cup of tea, removes the glasses in the kitchen, then sits down in front of the telly again? It might seem like a simple case as put forward above, but in "the real world" it just will *never* work. If I'm wrong I'll gladly admit it. As much as I dislike the technology (and I <em>do</em> love 'technology') and as much as I think it's doomed to failure, I do not want to see all these companies crumble.
