I read Ooyay last year out of the library and I still think of it all the time. It is very different. I don’t think I got everything out of it and now I’m going to read it again. I might have to buy it sometime too. Christmas maybe. Great book. Love it.

This book deserves to be read by everybody. Now no one has an excuse. It’s a classic.

I never heard of this book before downloading but I read it in record time (for me). A lot happens and I think I’ll have to read it again. The highlights for me were: the blind cowboy, the blue dog behaving like someone from The Great Escape (and failing), the sad but funny story of Matthew and his doomed family, and the professor himself and what he does and doesn’t do. Just when you think you know where this book is going it turns a corner and goes in a completely unexpected direction. And that didn’t change right to the end.
Confession: I thought ooyay was a stupid title beforehand. Now I can’t imagine it being called anything else.

Why haven’t I heard of this before? It beats everything similar hands down. Come to think of it I can’t think of anything similar. When’s the movie coming?

What is it about this book? I thought I was reading somethign like willy wonka but it turned out to be something a lot more than that wow

Is it a kids’ book? I wouldn’t say so. But some kids might get it. It does start out like a kids book though which might put off some adults. I only know I loved it whatever it is. Thanks.

This is the best book I’ve ever read. It’s heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time. It’s silly and it’s deep. It’s like a kids book and also there are things in it only older people would grasp. It’s about imagination and growing up. I’ve never read anything like it. Wow!

Thank you for writing this book. It’s amazing and very funny and thought provoking. Why isn’t it known worldwide? It certainly deserves to be recognised as the classic it is.

Dear Stanley Rumm, This book has a special place in my heart. I love these characters and the whole uniqueness of the tale. Bravo!

Alright I read it. I thought it was confusing most of the time, but it makes sense eventually. Overall worth it.

I agree with most of the above. It’s a strange book, but worth persevering. I didn’t like the start. It went a bit more weird towards the end, but shone through with an amazing ending. 10/10

Hi Stanley. Loved the book. Definitely deserves to be better known. I see it as a movie easily. Whens the next one out?

Hi. Just to let you know my sister gave me this book for Christmas (not the download). I read it over the past week and finished it last night (New Years Eve). What a brilliant way for me to ring in the new year! Top-class book. Top-Class story. Heartbreaking and very upbeat at the same time!

I have a question about the end… is the dog real?
